James Blunt, an international music sensation thanks to his quavering ballad "You're Beautiful," will present a big show at 7:30 p.m. today at Conseco Fieldhouse.
For listeners interested in hearing a small show from Blunt's prestardom days, an upcoming reissue of his "Back to Bedlam" album will include a live disc recorded in Ireland in 2005.
The former British Army captain says the collection, scheduled for release Nov. 7, offers a contrast to the current tour.
"It's a tiny little show," Blunt says of the live recording. "But it's nice to present the songs in different ways. I wrote the songs to be played on their own on piano or guitar."
Intimate performances may be scarce in Blunt's future. More than 2 million copies of the original "Back to Bedlam" have been sold in the United States. "You're Beautiful" spent 15 weeks in the Top 10 of Billboard magazine's singles chart, and Blunt won two trophies at August's MTV Video Music Awards ceremony.
